Not only do avocados lend a lovely creaminess to smoothies, they are known for their ability to improve the condition of the skin and hair – a double whammy!
1 small avocado, halved, pitted, peeled and sliced
2 pears, cored and chopped (peeled, if liked)
350 ml/1½ cups almond milk (see page 22)
1 heaped teaspoon manuka honey (see page 16)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
probiotic powder (see page 18) (check the recommended dosage on the bottle)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
SERVES 2
Put the avocado, pears, almond milk, honey, cinnamon, probiotic powder and lemon juice in a blender and blend until smooth.
