Chinese Ginger Dressing


Makes 1 cup


Ingredients


1/4 cup rice wine vinegar

1/4 cup peanut oil

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

2 tbs. grated fresh ginger

1/2 tsp. granulated sugar

1/2 tsp. dry mustard

1/4 tsp. Chinese five spice powder

1/4 tsp. minced garlic

1/4 tsp. chili oil


Directions


Add all the ingredients to a glass jar. Shake to combine the oils, spices and vinegar. Place a lid on the jar. Let the jar sit at room temperature for 2 hours.


When the dressing has sit for 2 hours, drain the dressing through a fine sieve. Save the liquid as the liquid is your dressing. Discard the ginger and garlic.


This dressing also makes an excellent marinade or dipping sauce.
