Dear Reader,

I am the biggest Christmas fan and writing a Christmas story is always my favorite thing in the world. This one has a real hint of serious stuff as my heroine, Paige McLeod, is contemplating leaving the job she no longer loves. This is the reality for many staff in the NHS, most of whom are exhausted and feel as if they have no more to give. I hope I’ve handled it sensitively. I’ve given her a Swiss hero in Stefan Bachman, the busiest man on the planet, because he doesn’t want to stop and take time to contemplate the guilt he’s been left with. Being snowed in together makes Paige and Stefan face their demons, but also gives them the time to fall in love!
