It is a long, winding river, one of the main rivers on Barsoom and is fed by many small tributaries, growing deeper and wider as it extends towards the sea. The headwaters are somewhere in the Great Rainbow Mountains, so called because of the iridescent sheen reflected during certain times of the year. The delta estuary where the river meets the Langstino Sea is marked by pristine beaches which are much enjoyed by Barsoom’s populace. The river is approximately 64Km wide and filled with hundreds of small islets created by the silt carried downriver during storms.
