Savona sits near the edge of a shallow lake. The buildings, like the houses are Octagon shaped, with rainwater and solar collectors. The city was designed by a man who was greatly enamored of Venice, Italy. However, he had radical ideas as to how to avoid the issues with flooding and sinking that besets that city on earth. He designed the capital city buildings as a series of floating platforms, like the design used on aircraft carriers on old earth. Each building was on a separate platform, and connected below the water with force field magnets which allowed each building to rise or fall with the tides independently of the others. City Transportation was by powered Gondolas manned by Robot Gondoliers.
