About Our Writers

Jennifer Foden is an award-winning freelance writer and editor who calls Toronto and Vancouver home. She writes about travel, sustainability, social justice, architecture, and food and drink for a variety of publications. When she’s not working with words, she’s traveling, watching sports, or hanging out with her niece and nephew. She updated Experience; The Harbourfront, Entertainment District, and the Financial District; and Old Town and the Distillery District.

Natalia Manzocco is the life and social media editor at NOW Magazine, Toronto’s alternative weekly newspaper. She has written about news, food, travel, fashion, and tech for Postmedia, Metro Canada, blogTO, and many more. Natalia is also a musician and the director of Pink Market, Toronto’s LGBTQ craft fair. She lives in the city’s east end with her partner, cat, and a significant number of houseplants. For this edition, she updated Travel Smart; Yonge-Dundas Square Area; West Queen West, Ossington, and Parkdale; Leslieville, Greektown, Little India, and The Beaches; Queen’s Park, the Annex, and Little Italy; and Yorkville, Church and Wellesley, Rosedale, and Cabbagetown.

Writer and editor Jesse Ship found his calling while teaching English in Taipei. A Belgian national who grew up in Toronto and Paris, it only made sense for him to professionally pursue the passions he was raised on: the arts, culture, and travel. If he’s not out interviewing the latest experimental band or legendary DJ, he can be found in Kensington Market planning corporate social media campaigns, dreaming of his next Southeast Asian adventure. He updated Chinatown, Kensington Market, and Queen West; Greater Toronto; and Side Trips from Toronto.
