ACT IV
RAVEN’S PLAYBOOK
On stage I simply shared who I was, which happens to be a lot of things that a lot of people love to judge and to hate; an ex-prostitute, a pornographer, a witch, a Jew, a lesbian, a feminist, and yes…a performance artist. Interestingly, the people who expressed the most hatred never met me or saw my work.
—ANNIE SPRINKLE
Annie Sprinkle is my mentor because she inspires me to explore the limits of the body, magnitude of the mind, and scope of the soul.
Violet West is my muse because she is the antidote to all the judgment and hate that my art has ever received. When we are together, a new body of revelational work is produced.
Each Friday is an unrepeatable performance for which there is no audience. Perhaps one day, the unscripted scenes from my playbook will find a way onto the stage.
