This novel is dedicated to my mother, Barbara J. Ervin. While I was in the midst of completing Fairyed, my brother and I travelled to New Mexico to spread her ashes. During the drive I pondered that I didn’t thank her enough for all she did for me, especially as a child growing up. For example, without regular family visits to the local library, odds are I wouldn’t be writing this dedication today. Missed opportunities.
