Dear Readers:

I bet sometime one or two of you sit back and wonder where do we authors come up with our stories. Well..here you go. Midnight Ace Scotty and I were on a bus talking, what else... books. That in turn led to creating the story of Matthew Lassiter.

The story revolved around a group of kids who borderline genius. Of course they were considered disruptive in class for challenging the teachers to think outside of the box. Consequently they end up in detention. How do they spend their days in detention? That’s when the story takes a funny turn. The teacher handling detention is a Lassiter. Hmmm...how many things can go wrong with Joshua, Adam and Phire in the mix? I think we all can agree each of them are larger than life. But what happens when an every day Joe becomes the hero to a group of mini genius who unintentionally create an international incident? This story features Matthew Adonis Lassiter, the coach of the high school football team, who discovers his inner strength has an impressive punch.

Matthew is a different kind of hero. I think you will enjoy this lighthearted Lassiter. By the way, those of you who are Lassiter followers will notice Matthew’s name is now spelled with 2 ts in this story.

Huge shoutout to Msprissy Parker who waited patiently for Matthew’s story, MidnightAce for adding her creative touches to this story, Erica George and Sandra Casson-Dickerson for making this “mystery” release possible. To Cathy Atchison, thank you for cheering from the hospital bed. ❤️

This book is dedicated to Teachers around the world. Thank you for all you do for our children. Two cheers to all the Teachers: The not so average heroes.

Personal message: Shareta Caldwell-Rippatoe, here is your Author’s Note. You are the best…… fill in the blanks. LOL!
