ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Marysia Miernowska is an herbalist, Witch, and gardener rooted in the Wise Woman Tradition of Healing. She directs the California branch of the Gaia School of Healing and Earth Education, where she holds ceremony and teaches herbal medicine, plant shamanism, regenerative farming practice, and Earth magick. A multilingual and multicultural devotee of Mother Earth, Marysia has grown up internationally and traveled extensively, learning different ways of tending to the Earth and sharing regenerative, grassroots Earth medicine. She draws on her background as a community organizer and activist, and she keeps her feet rooted by designing and tending to medicinal gardens using permaculture and biodynamic practices. Marysia formulates herbal medicine, sees clients, and curates educational events at her apothecary, Wild Love Apothecary, in Topanga Canyon, California. She makes sacred plant botanicals for her community at her local apothecary and from the lands she tends, and also formulates and consults for other companies. She lives in Topanga, with her daughter Flora, grows herbs in Malibu, and teaches and holds ceremony in the greater Los Angeles area. She shares her passions with her students and community, in the gardens she tends and in her writing.
