About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Iris Bolling published her first novel in 2008. This self-published work was the first installment to the popular Heart Series which has captivated the hearts of readers and awarded Iris the Emma Award as Debut Author of the Year in 2010.

In May of 2011, Iris introduced a new cast of characters in her in Night of Seduction Series. The second book in the series, The Pendleton Rule, was reviewed in USA Today and received, the 2014 Emma Award for Suspense of The Year.

The popular, Book of Joshua I and Book of Joshua II, earned Iris several awards including 2014 Hero of The Year and 2015 Heroine of The Year. In 2018 the series expanded with Phire: I’m Just Saying which won her The Book of the Year, Cover of the Year, and Heroine of the Year.

In 2019, Iris was the executive producer and screenwriter for the indie film project Deadly Sexy. The movie is based on the writings of the award-winning writing icon Beverly Jenkins.

Currently, Iris is in pre-production of a book to film indie project Unfinished Business. The movie is based on the writings of New York Times bestselling author Brenda Jackson. Due to challenges with the pandemic of 2020, this highly anticipated release date has not been set.

Iris believes in giving back. Her projects provide jobs and intern- ships to women of color who don’t usually get the opportunity to work behind the scenes in technical roles. Several of the actors and production staff working on her projects have grown in their careers, giving Iris supporters familiar faces in other film projects.

From her platform during various guest-speaking engagements, Iris has encouraged others to follow their dreams. With the recent implementation of her G.I.Y. workshops Iris shares her experience, knowledge, and talents with others to assist them along the way. Encouraging everyone to simply, BELIEVE!

Iris currently lives in Richmond, Virginia where she is working on her next book, movie project and/or workshop.
