Olivia sat on the large rock taking in another spectacular sunrise. She was mesmerized by its brilliance and enjoyed basking in the new light after having just finished her run up the mountain trail. She could feel her body recovering, but her raised pulse and strong breathing were of little concern and she paid little attention. She was growing more and more used to vigorous exercise, and her body had adapted. She didn’t struggle like she used to when she ran, and when she did push herself, she was able to recuperate quickly. But the best part was that she craved her workouts now just like Eve said she would. When she didn’t work out, she felt unfocused and frustrated and cranky. And she wasn’t the only one who noticed. Her loved ones were quick to tell her when she was being a bear, many times even suggesting that she go for a long run or spend an hour lifting weights.
A breeze stirred, and she absently rubbed the chill that tickled her moist skin. The mornings were cooler now, and soon she’d have to cover up instead of wearing just an athletic bra and runner’s shorts. That didn’t bother her. She loved this time of year and thought back to how far she’d come since spring. She couldn’t believe all that she had accomplished. It was almost surreal. She now had the two things that had seemed damned near impossible to get.
She was fit, able to run and lift like a well-trained athlete. She was tight and hard as a rock with defined muscle, and for the first time in her life, she was proud of her body. She was healthy and strong, and she loved the way she looked and the way she felt. She couldn’t imagine ever going back to the way she was before. She’d been awakened and shown a new, better way to live, and oh, what a life it was turning out to be.
“Hi.”
Olivia turned and found Eve standing on the trail with her hands on her hips. Similar to Olivia, she had on nothing but a purple sports bra and a pair of black leggings. Her hair was in a ponytail, and she pushed her sunglasses up to rest on her head, just like she’d done all those weeks ago when they’d first met.
“Hi.”
“You look like you might need some help.”
Olivia saw the corner of her mouth lift.
“Oh, yeah?”
“Uh-huh.”
“And let me guess, you’re the one who’s going to help me.”
“I am.”
“What makes you so sure I’ll let you?”
“Because I’m the woman for the job.”
“You are, are you?”
“Yes. And I think you’re well aware of that.”
“I see.”
“You don’t see anyone else up here do you?” she asked, glancing around. She walked slowly toward her. “Nobody else is coming to your rescue. Just me.”
“You’re right.” Olivia’s voice weakened as she watched her move. “There’s only you.”
Eve came to a stand before her. Her eyes were alive, and she looked driven and a bit…ravenous.
“You will always be the only one,” Olivia said.
“Are you admitting that you need some help, then?”
Olivia reached out and tried to touch her, but Eve swatted her hand away.
“Well?” She was fiery and feisty, and the way her eyes flashed, Olivia knew she was wanting to dominate.
Olivia swallowed. “God, yes, I need help.”
“You better get up then, so I can take a look at you.”
Olivia stood and Eve swept her up and down with her hungry gaze. Then she took a step closer, so that they were inches apart.
“You look really good to me,” she said.
“Do I?”
“Yes. Incredibly good. But…” She ran her finger down the center of Olivia’s body until she came to the top of her shorts. “I think you need some help here.”
“Where?”
“In here.” She slid her hand into her shorts and panties and halted as she reached her center. She grazed her with her fingertips, and Olivia gripped her wrist and clenched her jaw. She rose to her tiptoes and made a small noise.
“Yes,” Eve said. “I think you need some help right here. I’m concerned that you can’t feel as well as you should. I think maybe I should touch you to be sure. What do you think?”
“Mm. Yes. Please.”
Eve sank her fingers into her folds and glided up and down.
Olivia jerked and her whole body tightened. She tried to form words, pleas of approval and pleas for more, but Eve was rubbing her so intently, she couldn’t focus on anything other than the pleasure shooting out from her clit.
“Can you feel me?” Eve asked.
“Ye—es.”
“Are you sure?”
Olivia clung to her shoulder. “Yes. Fuck yes.”
“I’m not totally convinced.” She increased her speed and intensity. “I think I better make completely sure. You know, touch you until you scream and crumble and come all over my hand.” She leaned in and nibbled her neck and worked her way up to her jaw and then to her lips where she grinned and licked her with flicks of her tongue.
“What do you think? You want to come all over my hand?”
“Yes.”
“Then do it. Look into my eyes and fucking do it. Look into my eyes and see how much I love you. How much I want you.”
Olivia stared into her and saw her beautiful soul where love and desire and everything that made Eve Eve, existed. She saw all of it. Felt all of it.
And Eve could tell.
“Now come, Olivia. Come for me at this very moment at this very spot. Right here. Where I first laid eyes on you. Where I fell for you.”
Olivia felt herself going over. She held her tighter.
“Yes, love. Come.”
She broke completely open then and cried into the rising sun as the orgasm pulsed through her, saturating every single nerve ending she had with raw, delicious pleasure, over and over. The power of it just kept multiplying, and it felt so good she stared into Eve with disbelief, wondering if it would ever end and hoping like hell that it wouldn’t.
Eve only grinned at her as she continued to give, her own desire more than apparent in her naughty look of lust. She was more than enjoying herself, and Olivia knew that from then on, anytime Eve grinned at her like that, no matter where they were, she’d get wet. She’d get wet and crave the all-knowing touch of her fingers.
Olivia clenched her eyes as one final surge tore through her, leaving her delirious and exhausted. She laughed softly and looked at Eve with heavy lidded eyes.
“I was such an idiot back then,” she said, and Eve looked at her in confusion. “When I refused your help. What the hell was I thinking?”
Eve laughed and eased her hand from her shorts and held her hips.
“You’re stubborn.”
“And prideful.”
“Yes.”
“Thank God, you insisted. Thank God.”
“I’m stubborn, too.”
“Yes. You are.”
“We probably shouldn’t argue very often then.”
“Probably not.”
“You should just agree with me all the time.”
Olivia laughed. “I don’t think so.”
“No? Well, at least agree with me on the next few things I have to tell you.” She reached up and touched her face.
“Okay. I’m listening.”
“I would like for you to meet my mother.”
Olivia could see that she was serious and even a little emotional.
“You know I check in on her a lot. So, next time I go, I want you to come with me.”
“I would love to.”
Eve smiled and ran her thumb over her bottom lip.
“Really?”
“Of course. I know how much you love her. And I want to know every single part of you and your life.”
“There’s something else,” she said.
“Okay.”
“I want to take you somewhere next week. It’s Thanksgiving and you won’t have class.”
“Oh? And where, dare I ask, do you want to take me?”
“Mexico.”
Olivia grinned so big it hurt her face. “Are you kidding me?”
“Aaron told me you already have your passport.”
“I actually do, yes. We all got one when my parents first moved down there, so we could visit. I just—never wanted to.”
“Well, what about now? Do you want to go? With me? I’ve got the reservations all set up at hotel Karen. They’re guaranteed.”
“Hotel Karen?”
“Her beach house.”
Olivia looked at her in disbelief. “Get out of here.”
“I’m serious.”
“A beach house? A house. On the beach. Like for real, on the beach?”
Eve laughed. “You step off the back patio into sand. The ocean is right there in front of you.”
“Oh, my God.”
“Is that a yes? Do you want to go?”
“Do you even have to ask? Yes, I want to go. Abso-fucking-lutely.”
“It was the beach house that cinched it, wasn’t it? Not me.”
Olivia pulled her closer. “Oh, no, it was you. I’d go anywhere in the world with you. The beach house was just an added bonus.”
“Ah, okay.”
“Will I get to meet Karen?”
“You will, yes. She’ll be there for the first two days and she’s so excited she won’t leave me alone. She keeps texting me asking me all kinds of questions about you. Does she like this or that, or what about this.”
“I can’t wait to meet her.”
“You two are going to hit it off, I have no doubt. And you’ll probably gang up on me. That wouldn’t surprise me at all.”
Olivia fell silent and Eve continued to look into her eyes.
“Spill it.” It was what she said now when she could tell that something was bothering her. “You’re thinking about your parents, aren’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“You still haven’t heard from your mother?”
“No. Just my father. He calls, but she refuses to speak to me. He always has an excuse for her.”
“Give her time, love. She might come around.”
“I don’t know.” Her mother icing her out still hurt, no matter how much she talked about it and tried to accept it.
“We can always stop by and see them,” Eve said. “Give them a little surprise like they did you on your birthday.” She grinned. “Eh? Wouldn’t that be fun?”
Olivia laughed softly. “That would be one heck of a surprise, that’s for sure.”
“I know you’re hurting and I’m so sorry.” She brought her hand to her mouth and kissed it. “I’ll just have to do my best to try to distract you.”
“Now, thinking about that makes me feel much better.”
“I thought it might.”
“Oh, it does.”
Olivia smiled at her and felt tears well. One slipped down her face and Eve smoothed it away.
“Something else?” she asked, her voice high with concern. “What is it? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Olivia said. “Everything is…right. Everything is so right it’s overwhelming. Just before you got here, I was thinking about how I have the two things I thought I’d never have.”
“Yeah?”
“I’m fit and healthy, that’s one.”
“And what’s the other?”
“Love. Honest to God, real, true, make your heart pound and your head spin, wildly passionate, comes from the depths of your soul, sacrifice anything for it, love. I have it. I have you. And I can’t believe it.”
“Sometimes I can’t either.”
“You have changed my whole life, Eve. I keep comparing it to being awakened. Like I’ve been asleep for my entire life and suddenly this beautiful and alluring woman walks into my room and wakes me, causing me to stir to life and feel and experience and really, genuinely live. I don’t know how I can ever thank you for that.”
“You just did.”
“I don’t think what I just said is near enough.”
“Your continued happiness is. That alone is more than enough, and, Olivia, it’s all that I want.” Her gaze drifted down to Olivia’s mouth and her eyebrow lifted. “Well, maybe not all that I want.”
Olivia groaned as she saw the hunger return to Eve’s eyes. “Jesus, God, I love the way you want me.”
“I love the way I want you, too.”
“Let’s get out of here so I can take my turn and have my way with you.”
Eve laughed and Olivia shushed her with a finger pressed to her lips.
“But first, a kiss.”
They drew closer, so close Olivia could feel her breath as it collided with her own.
“You got it,” Eve whispered.
Olivia kissed her then right there at the very spot where they’d first met.
Right there against the backdrop of another rising sun.
The End
