Accepting help might seem weak, but there is so much strength in vulnerability.

We might feel too proud, too guilty or just uncomfortable accepting kindness, but be good to yourself – admit when you need some help and try to believe that you are worthy of kindness. It will help both you and the person offering you help – allow them to feel good about helping you.


Sometimes the hardest thing is to ask for help. We try not to ask because we don’t want to disturb people or we just feel like this is our battle … this is our life and we don’t want people to be obliged to help. It’s hard even to ask our friends for help, let alone people we don’t know. So when people who are strangers helped us with the things we need – there are just no words for how that felt. You think this world is a mad place, but it isn’t. There’s so many good people out there. The original human is kind.
