A deliciously sweet and crunchy granola bar makes a perfect and filling breakfast. Makes 12 bars.
What You’ll Need:
3 cups of oats (rolled)
3/4 cup of honey
3/4 cup of peanut butter (chunky)
1/2 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
1/2 cup of walnuts
1/3 cup of apricots (dried)
1/3 cup of prunes
1/3 cup of raisins
1/4 cup of sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons of wheat germ
1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon of salt
How to Make It:
Prep: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Combine the 3 cups of oats (rolled), 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds, 2 tablespoons of wheat germ, 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt together and set the bowl aside. Combine the 3/4 cup of honey, 3/4 cup of peanut butter (chunky), and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a smaller bowl. Carefully add the honey mixture into the oat mixture the dough will be thick. Fold in the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet), 1/2 cup of walnuts, 1/3 cup of apricots (dried), 1/3 cup of prunes, and 1/3 cup of raisins. Try to combine evenly. Spread the dough into the prepared 9x13 baking pan, press with fingers to make the top even. Bake in the hot oven for 20 minutes, or until the top turns a golden brown. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into 12 bars.

2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 cup of apples (chopped)
3/4 cup of milk
1/4 cup of canola oil
1/4 cup of honey
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (ground)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
How to Make It:
Prep: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 12 muffin cups with cupcake papers.
Beat the 2 egg whites with a whisk for a couple of seconds and combine with the 1 cup of apples (chopped), 3/4 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of canola oil, and 1/4 cup of honey in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the 2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (ground), and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix the dry ingredients in with the wet ingredients until just moistened. Batter will be lumpy. Spoon equal amounts into the 12 cupcake paper lined muffin cups and bake until the top turns a golden brown, about 20 minutes.
