4–5 ice cubes
1 teaspoon grenadine
1 measure pineapple juice
juice of 1 lemon
juice of 1 orange
3 measures vodka
slice of lemon, to decorate
Put the ice cubes in a highball glass and drizzle over the grenadine. Mix together the pineapple, lemon and orange juices and add to the glass with the vodka.
Alternatively, put the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker or screw-top jar. Pour the grenadine, fruit juices, grenadine and vodka over the ice and shake until a frost forms. Strain into a highball glass.
Decorate with a lemon slice and serve.
For a non-alcoholic Hawaiian cocktail, mix together 2 measures pineapple juice, 2 measures mango juice, the juice of 1 lemon and the juice of 1 orange in a jug. Pour 1 teaspoon grenadine over ice cubes in a tall glass, then pour over the fruit juice.
