This recipe is super simple and healthy, and will satisfy anyone’s discerning sweet tooth. Keep in mind that bananas are a real power food—a type of healthy carbohydrate that helps you burn calories and eat less. These bites are so good, you have to be mindful of your portion size!
2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
½ teaspoon ground espresso beans(optional)
1 teaspoon honey
1 large banana, cut into 1-inch pieces
Place the chocolate chips, espresso, and honey in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until chocolate has melted.
Stir to combine fully.
Dip half of each 1-inch banana piece in the chocolate, set on a plate lined with parchment paper, and refrigerate to set the chocolate. This dessert is also amazing frozen.
