ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

First, I want to thank my readers. As I mentioned in my letter, I know this isn’t the book you expected me to release next. And I know you’ve been patiently waiting for the next Poppy Creek and Blessings Bay books. I appreciate you sticking with me as I try something new and go where the “muse” takes me. This was exactly the mental break I needed before I sit down to write the final (for now) installment of Poppy Creek. So again, thank you for indulging my writerly whims. I had so much fun writing Quincy’s story, and I hope you enjoyed it, too.

To Mariah Sinclair—Thank you for the stunning premade cover that sparked the idea for this story. I fell in love the second I saw it, and I’m so honored to publish your beautiful design.

To Krista Dapkey—Thank you for your generous willingness to work with my chaotic life and utter lack of anything closely resembling a “schedule.” You’re the best.

To Beth Attwood—Thank you for squeezing me in at the last minute, adding the extra polish that makes the prose shine, and catching those pesky continuity errors that slip through the cracks.

To Dave Cenker—You’ve been a steady critique partner since the beginning, and I’m seriously starting to question if I can publish a book without you. Your insights mean the world to me.

To my family—Your continued support of my writing dream is the backbone of my business. I’m so deeply grateful that I can share it with you, from the constant bookish chats to towing you across the country to reader retreats and book signings. Unlike Quincy, I have the most loving and selfless family in the world. Although, for some of us, good-natured teasing is definitely our love language.
