SERVES 1
1 (1-inch) piece fresh turmeric, grated
1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 cup unsweetened almond milk or cashew milk
4 turns of a pepper mill
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground cloves
Pinch of ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons honey
In a small saucepan, combine the turmeric, ginger, almond milk, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg and bring just to a boil over medium heat. Remove from the heat and strain into a coffee mug. Drizzle honey on top before serving.
