29 – Wintertime Banana Pudding

Banana pudding is a favorite dessert in our house. This is a Southern type recipe with pudding layers, whipped cream, bananas and tasty wafer cookies.
Makes 10 Servings
Cooking + Prep Time:  1/2 hour + 3-8 hours chilling time
Ingredients:
Instructions:
1. In large bowl, combine the whole milk, condensed milk and pudding mix. Thoroughly whisk and break up all lumps. Place in the fridge for five minutes or longer, till it sets.
2. In separate bowl, combine cream with pure vanilla. Beat till it forms stiff peaks, two or three minutes. Set 1/2 of mixture aside to top dessert with. Fold other half into pudding mixture.
3. Cover bottom of trifle dish or other tall, deep bowl with the vanilla wafers. Add 1/3 of pudding mixture. Add another cookie layer. Top with single banana slice layer. Continue to layer pudding, cookies and sliced bananas till you have reached the top. The uppermost layer should be banana pudding.
4. Place in refrigerator for three hours or longer, or overnight.
5. Add granulated sugar to the whipped cream and stir, combining well. Before you serve, dollop whipped cream atop banana pudding. Sprinkle some crumbled vanilla wafers over the top. Serve.
