Serves 4 to 6
30-oz. pkg. frozen shredded hashbrowns, thawed
16-oz. container French onion dip
1 lb. ground pork sausage, browned
2 c. sour cream
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Combine first 4 ingredients and one cup cheese; mix well. Spread in a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; bake for 15 additional minutes.
For a mock shepherd’s pie in minutes, just substitute a can of cream of celery soup and frozen hashbrowns for the mashed potatoes...less fuss and just as tasty!
