Also known as Guatemalan orange scented dough, this is a nice sweet snack that is not over powering. Similar in texture to donut holes, they can be used as a quick breakfast for the family or when it is your turn to bring snacks to a meeting.
Ingredients:
Dough:
3-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
8 large egg yolks
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
Coating:
12 cups sifted powdered sugar
2/3 cups water
2/3 cups light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon orange extract
Instructions:

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

Make a large hole in the center of the mix and pour in eggs, egg yolks, and orange juice.
3.
Mix the eggs and orange juice in the hole and then slowly mix in the flour.

Knead dough together then cover with a towel for 15 minutes.
5.
Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls and place in basket.
6.
Cook in your Philips at 320 degrees for 20 minutes.
7.
While your bread cooks fill a sauce pan with 2 inches of water and heat over medium heat.
8.
In a microwave safe bowl combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and vanilla extract.
9.
Mix ingredients in the bowl while holding it above the water filled sauce pan.
10.
Toss the bread balls in the mixture and set on parchment paper to cool.
