Bar-B-Kick Sauce
This spicy sauce is incredible on chicken, brushed on in the last 10 minutes of grilling. It adds snap to hot wings or salmon, and brings new life to ordinary pork ribs.
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
Juice of 1 lemon
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups apple cider vinegar
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons ketchup
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, reduce the heat, and stir until the sauce thickens. Refrigerate overnight so the flavors in the sauce can mingle.
Makes about 3 cups
