Implementing process-tracking

We have taken control of a management function, and it is, by the classic concept, the last in a series of functions to be performed in the management guidance process. Its task would be to compare the rate of achievement of the set goals by comparing the planned and achieved goals.

The best possible approach to control starts with the following assumption that each control process as a management function consists of three steps:

  1. Measuring results
  2. Comparing the results to the standards that were set
  3. The preparation needed to perform the measures to achieve the set goals

The essence of the control process is the comparison of the achieved results to the set goals and the design of the elimination measures.

The control function of the strategic management process involves four types of control:

In every form of control over the action of the strategy management process, we have to go through the following steps:

  1. Evaluating the results (qualitative and quantitative methods of measurement)
  2. Comparing the results to the set goals and requirements
  3. Shaping the measures to eliminate deviations

The shape of the entire control system depends on whether we perform the supervisory function for each phase of the strategy management process or for the work process, such as the phase of forming the company's strategy. Compared to the results obtained, we use very diverse comparative reports, such as government reports and branch business reports. For the objectivity of the evaluation of results, we rely on the strategic review of external experts.
