Author’s Note: I was on a well-deserved vacation and came across this pastry shop that served this delectable dessert. Just by looking at it, I knew that my kids will have fun baking it and tasting it at the same time. I made sure to take pictures of how it was professionally done so I can recreate it as close as possible back home.

Ingredients

Let’s Cook:

  1. Heat air fryer to 170c degrees
  2. Heat the applesauce in water and add the flour one small quantity at a time
  3. Put the mixture into a pan over medium heat
  4. Cook until it becomes a solid dough in the middle
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool
  6. Put dough into a bowl, add the eggs and mix again
  7. Use hands and shape into small balls
  8. Bake for 10 minutes
  9. In small bowl, put together the vanilla extract and the whipped cream, whisk until thick
  10. Use a rolling pin to break the chocolate into smaller chunks
  11. Put in a glass bowl, the chocolate, and whipped cream then put over a pan of boiling water
  12. Allow to melt and mix
  13. Take the vanilla extract mixture and sandwich in between two of the profiteroles
  14. Put on serving plate
  15. Drizzle the chocolate mixture on top
  16. Serve

For an added treat to adults, one of my fancy friends suggested that I pair these pastries to with a shot of Baileys. I tried, and it is a great match.
