Author’s Note: This is apple pie with a twist. Instead of the filling on the inside, it is actually on the inside. Think of an upside down apple pie; it is a great conversation piece over dinner.

Ingredients

Let’s Cook:

  1. Heat air fryer to 200c degrees
  2. Put in a bowl the yolk, flour and applesauce
  3. Add water and knead until it becomes dough like smooth consistency
  4. Sprinkle flour on a flat working surface
  5. Roll the dough to a 15cm round, set aside
  6. Prepare the apple by peeling and remove the core
  7. Slice into one dozen wedges
  8. Coat a cake tin with cooking spray
  9. Sprinkle with stevia
  10. Arrange the apple wedges in the tin
  11. Cover the apple wedges with the dough
  12. Use your palm and press the dough on the sides of the tin
  13. Put the tin into the air fryer basket
  14. Bake for 25 minutes
  15. Take a plate and flip the tin to allow the tart to drop into the plate
  16. Allow to cool
  17. Serve
