Health Tip #40 – Challenge Yourself
As you get stronger, you will body will demand more. So, whatever your fitness plan is, make sure you keep challenging yourself.
If you are comfortable doing three laps when you are swimming, try pushing it to one more lap. If you love your cardio routine, add five minutes to your current time.
These small increments will give you results faster than you expect. Of course it does not mean that you keep on increasing your laps till you go to 100. You can challenge yourself in more ways than you think.
Simple things like adding more resistance, changing the pattern of working out and even reducing resting time between sets can make your body stronger, more active and give you high endurance.
Remember never to get stagnant. It is not only boring but is also the easiest way to slow your progress down. If you follow a fitness idol, you will see that he or she keeps experimenting with different combinations and modules. This makes each day more fun as you have something new to look forward to.
In this process, you may even find something new that is easier and more interesting for you. So, remember, the best way to stay in that progressive stage of weight loss is to keep yourself on your toes.
