Health Tip #42 – Stay Committed To Goals
Do not waver from “I want to have fab abs” to “I want great legs” each day. Choose a fitness routine that will give you over all benefits and be clear of your goals.
Weight loss is the added perk that you get for exercising. So you don’t have to always worry about that.
The best thing to do would be to choose goals that can be of maximum benefit to you overall. When you set your fitness goals, try to do it with an expert. That is when you will have more success.
For example, most women want to reduce belly fat like it is some epidemic. But, if you have a weak lower back and you are doing 100 crunches each day, you are more likely to have injuries and pain. In these cases, your goal should be to strengthen the weak body part before you move on to losing weight.
So, a good thing to do would be to consult an expert, get the right understanding of your body and then proceed to make goals. That is when you will be able to commit to these goals better. The reason is that wrong goals can hinder results and demotivate you.
Set long term and short term goals and stick to them. Like I said before, achieving your short-term goals will motivate you and help you stick to your goals much better.
