On an average a person needs two snacks and three meals on a daily basis. This is the amount that he needs in order to fulfill his caloric value.
But this value changes drastically from one person to the other and you need to know your calorie requirement before you adopt any diet plan.
In most simple terms, you will lose weight when the number of calories that you burn exceeds the number of calories that you consume.
However, you also need a basic amount of calories or energy that your body must have in order to function properly. This is called your daily calorie requirement.
Unless you know this value, you will not be able to calculate how many calories you need to consume and how many you need to burn in order to initiate the weight loss program.
Like most fitness experts say, this is like shooting without a target. Your bullets just go in every direction but do not hit any target.
You will be able to plan your meals much better when you know how much energy you need. That way you will also ensure that you do not deprive your body of what it actually needs.
