Health Tip #126 – Track Water Consumption
You might be surprised at how little water you are taking in each day. It is easy to get distracted by other things and not get the water that you need into your body.
What’s even worse, many people will drink other things, like sodas and alcohol, that not only prevent you from drinking enough water, they also can dehydrate out your body like crazy.
All of this is going to combine to make you dehydrated and not suitable for getting a good workout or losing the weight that you want.
When you track the consumption that you are taking in, it is easier to find out if you are doing a good job or if you need to work harder.
Spend a week tracking how much liquids you take in whether it is from milk, juice, water, soda, or some other source. You should be able to get a good idea of the consumption that you are dealing with.
You might not realize how much you are consuming of the bad liquids compared to the good liquids. Then you can work from there and try to find ways that you will be able to take in more water and limit the other kinds of liquids.
While it is fine to get some other liquids on occasion, you should limit it to mostly water with a little bit of milk for dairy and limited amounts of juice without added sugar.
