{ HEADLINE } EG Project Attracts Attention with New Song

East Genesis Project released a new song today through their official YouTube channel.

Golden, penned by bassist Song Minchan, has garnered almost 300,000 views in a span of eight hours. This is the first EG Project song that the youngest member of the band has written.

The short introduction to the video post reads, “Golden is a song about recognizing your worth no matter what society tells you. We hope it will remind everyone that we are, all of us, precious in the eyes of the people we love and the people who love us.”

Comments have been flooding the group’s YouTube channel since the song was released. Fans now speculate that the song is dedicated to one of EG Project’s female staff members, who has fallen prey to hostile netizens after being photographed with band leader Jo Yihwan at a hotel overseas.

Meanwhile, Amethyst Entertainment has confirmed the band’s comeback with a new album in October. This will be EG Project’s third Korean album since debuting in 2011.
