Stephen E. Gottlieb is Jay and Ruth Caplan Professor of Law at Albany Law School. Widely known for his work on constitutional law and honored with distinguished chairs at five law schools, he served on the Board of the New York Civil Liberties Union, on the New York Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights, in the Legal Services Program, and in the Peace Corps (in Iran) and practiced corporate law. A Princeton and Yale Law School graduate, he also founded a political action committee.
