BILL CARRIGAN: Getting Technical
JASON MANN: The Quant Momentum Investor
CAMERON WINSER: Multi-Disciplinary Approach
Systematic or technical investors invest in positions based largely on a quantitative, rules-driven, technical system that limits any manual qualitative analysis. While the investors we’ve already heard from — value, growth, fundamental, and macro (top-down) — would likely agree that investing is an art, systematic or technical investors would argue that it’s a science. Success for these investors is the extent to which one can remove human intervention, and possible erroneous decisions, in the selection of securities in the market. At the core of these investors’ systems is a strong risk management foundation.
