This has been a journey twenty years in the making. I have learned so much from so many people and clients and had no idea at the time that all of this education would take the form of a book. I simply did not keep track of it all, other than on my posterboard “book” and in my brain. So many people have been a part of this journey into print, some in little ways and others in larger ways, but all of you supported my goal and my writing in your own inimitable ways and I value your contributions beyond measure. You know who you are and so does Universe. I want to thank all of you and I apologize to any particular persons or sources of inspiration that should ideally be named herein.
That said, I do want to acknowledge a few people who have made a world of difference in my journey. Gratitude and lots of love go to my sister, Claudia Lagan, for being my rock and the most treasured gift of my life next to my son, James; Catherine Lang-Murphy for her years of encouragement; Sylvaine Lelong for her unfailing support; Jose Alberto Canhas for his kind and generous heart and for showing me the reality of the dream; Leeya Brooke Thompson for sharing her thoughts, precious support, and friendship; Amy Glaser for her invaluable advice; David Hill for always being there; and the entire crew at Llewellyn for their faith in this project and in me. Last, but certainly not least, I thank you, dear reader, for reading these words. I hope the ones that follow will bring a smile to your lips and a lightness to your heart.
