What You’ll Need

1 cup water

2 black tea bags, such as orange pekoe, English breakfast, Lapsang Souchong, or Darjeeling

1 3-inch piece stick cinnamon

1 cup milk

2 Tbsp. raw sugar, granulated sugar, or honey

1 tsp. vanilla

¼ tsp. ground ginger

⅛ tsp. ground cardamom

How to Make It

1. In a small saucepan combine the water, tea bags, and cinnamon stick. Bring to boiling. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags and the cinnamon stick.

2. Whisk the remaining six ingredients into the tea. Heat and stir over medium heat just until heated through (do not boil).

PER 8-OZ. DRINK: 122 cal., 2 g fat (2 g sat. fat), 10 mg chol., 55 mg sodium, 20 g carb., 1 g fiber, 4 g pro.

Use a whisk to thoroughly blend the ingredients.
