With a career as a graphic designer and communications specialist behind her, Taya now crafts speculative fiction. Passionate about speculative fiction from an early age, favourite authors include Martha Wells, V.E. Schwab, Becky Chambers, Philip Pullman, Holly Black, Ben Elton, and Charles de Lint. Taya is proudly bi-racial (Welsh-Barbadian), and highly recommends it to everyone. She writes from an off-grid tiny homestead in a forest on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland where she lives with her husband who's a theme park designer, and a fluffy grey cat for a muse. When she’s not pondering absurdities, Taya enjoys improv dance, freestyle frisbee, and exploring the natural world, often all at once.
