Newspapers and other mass media offer a certain kind of truth – one that is bound by convention and limited beliefs about reality.
Creativity, on the other hand, is about lying. The Creative knows and admits it is lying (fiction is lying even as it can be a version of the truth), whereas the media believe that their truth, their version, is ‘the’ truth, the only truth, the whole truth.
Humans are perhaps not capable of the whole truth. (This too is a version.)
