Molly Bloom

We just might know the characters in novels more intimately than our family, acquaintances and friends because we know what they are thinking. Through the medium of the author (a ‘medium’ makes contact with the dead), we are privy to the internal dialogue of a character, the most private thoughts that they would never express to anyone in the outside world.

In some ways, I might know Molly Bloom better, more intimately, than my own mother.
