Wilderness

Is ‘home’ the opposite of ‘wilderness’? No, for wilderness includes home. You could say wilderness transcends home, for wilderness suggests the eternal while home is temporary, this season’s nest of twigs in an ancient tree.

We come from wilderness and we go back to it. Call it Big Home. It includes heaven and earth.

If you embrace wilderness, you can never be lost. If you can’t see the forest for the trees, you will never find yourself. If you can learn to embrace wilderness, you will joyfully disappear into the double negative where home is wilderness and wilderness home and both form a nest made out of blue space.
