A Fourth Coded Message
The fourth coded message we received came during one of our grizzliest cases: the brutal murder of Christopher Burns. At the time, we had only one suspect: Roger Cardwell, who was a student of Burns and thought to be a little disturbed. After a meeting between the two of them, Burns’ body was found in a crumpled heap on the floor, limbs broken, neck bruised and eyes bloodshot.
Despite Holmes’ intuitions to the contrary, the police were ready to take Cardwell in, until we received the following message:
Upon decoding this, our investigation was given a new lease of life, and we were eventually able to catch the true culprit.
What did the message say?
