A Baby Bouncer
What to look for in a baby bouncer:
Stable frame. Try placing your hand in the center of the seat to test how easily it tips sideways, forward, or backward. Look for a sturdy frame that’s larger than the seat. It indicates better stability.
Good seat belt. The bouncer should have a good seat belt to hold your baby safely inside.
Recline options. Extra reclining positions will give you some options in finding the most comfortable position for your baby.
Non-slip base. Skid-resistant pads on the bottom of the seat are essential and help to keep the baby from “walking” the seat off a table or countertop when she jiggles.
Seat comfort. Colorful, deeply padded seat covers are a plus, but read the label to make sure they are removable and washable.
Toys. Your baby will have fun batting at playful toys suspended from a front toy bar. Just make sure the bar and the toys are well-secured and can’t work loose.
Entertaining extras. Vibration, music, and rocking are extras that may help to soothe a fussy baby. Buy an extra pack of batteries.
