If you are sharing testimonies, give adequate time for each person to share for five to ten minutes (or longer, if time permits). Then hold that person for a moment in silent prayer, asking God to continue to reveal himself in the wounded places.
If you are not sharing testimonies this week, use John 20:19-29 as a text for praying with imagination. Then share what came to life as you pictured yourselves in the scene.
Close your time together with Hannah’s prayer (p. 275): “Jesus, may your wounds take in all of our hurts. May we glimpse in them the reminder that our story of salvation is a story written not merely with pen and ink but with blood and tears. A story of love and hope. For all of us.” Amen.
