SWAN CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Luwenza
CLAN TYPE: Low
WING DESCRIPTION: Wide, large, and usually pure white, though pure black is not uncommon. Ideal for soaring and long-distance flight; less maneuverable.

TRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS: Dancers, artists, and performers
KNOWN FOR: Peevish temperaments and mistrust toward outsiders
QUETZAL CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Brightbay
CLAN TYPE: Free clan
WING DESCRIPTION: Covert feathers are iridescent green with gold highlights. Primary and secondary feathers are black. Not the strongest fliers, Quetzals usually avoid ranging far.

KNOWN FOR: Beautifully dyed and patterned cloth woven from plant fibers
MACAW CLAN
CLAN SEAT: The Clay
CLAN TYPE: Free clan
WING DESCRIPTION: Covert feathers are typically bright red and yellow, with bright blue primary and secondary feathers. Wings may also present as entirely blue or entirely green with bright-yellow underwings.

KNOWN FOR: Exquisitely crafted pottery made with the help of their tamed elephants
FLAMINGO CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Falorian
CLAN TYPE: Free clan
WING DESCRIPTION: Pale- to dark-pink covert feathers with black primaries and secondaries. Wide and powerful, they are suited for acrobatic flight.

KNOWN FOR: Elaborate and acrobatic traditional dances often performed with fire
VULTURE CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Bone Mountain
CLAN TYPE: Low
WING DESCRIPTION: Dark-brown feathers with pale underwing. Best suited for long periods of soaring, with minimal flapping.

TRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS: Undertakers and morticians
KNOWN FOR: Because of Vultures’ traditional roles as undertakers and expertise with dead bodies, they’re often feared and mistrusted by other clans. In some areas, even seeing or speaking with a Vulture is seen as an omen of impending death.
KINGFISHER CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Green River
CLAN TYPE: Free clan
WING DESCRIPTION: Color ranges from blue to green, with teal being most common, with a pattern of white dots. Underwings are orange. Suited for rapid, direct flight.

TRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS: Fishers
KNOWN FOR: In-depth knowledge of the jungle rivers, on which Kingfishers live in their flotillas of houseboats
GULL CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Porton
CLAN TYPE: Low
WING DESCRIPTION: Long, tapered wings of gray and white with black tips, ideal for soaring on ocean breezes.
WINGSPAN: Medium
TRADITIONAL OCCUPATIONS: Sea traders, fishers, and sea-transport workers
KNOWN FOR: Being a large, widespread clan that travels in noisy, boisterous groups but rarely strays far from the coast
QUAIL CLAN
CLAN SEAT: Gambel
CLAN TYPE: Low
WING DESCRIPTION: Round, short wings of gray and brown with large white flecks. Unsuited for long or agile flight, Quails usually avoid the air altogether.

KNOWN FOR: Aversion to flight; some Quail clanners are known to go for months without using their wings
