A few tricks turn even small pantries into hardworking storage.
1. Pull-out shelves mean nothing gets lost in the back of the cabinet—and they easily replace existing stationary shelves.
2. Installing a magnetic surface—panels or strips—inside the door lets you keep tins of seasonings, sprinkles, and other small ingredients at eye level.
3. Stackable containers will maximize your space; clear ones make it easier to see what you’re reaching for.
4. Potatoes and onions do best in a dark pantry or cupboard, so make room on a low shelf for these. Keep them separate, to prevent them hastening each other’s spoilage, in open bins so air can circulate.
