Lamb and Beef Koftas

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
10 ounces ground lamb
2½ tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
2 teaspoons salt
cup red onion, minced
2½ teaspoons dried thyme
¾ cup plain breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon + ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground pepper
Hot mustard to serve
Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the lamb and beef with the parsley, breadcrumbs, red onion, cumin, salt, thyme, and pepper.
  2. Prepare 20 balls from the mixture and flatten them into patties using the palm of your hand.
  3. Grease the grill with some cooking spray and preheat the grill to medium-high.
  4. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve with hot mustard.
