Lamb and Beef Koftas

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
10 ounces ground lamb
2½ tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
2 teaspoons salt
⅓
cup red onion, minced
2½ teaspoons dried thyme
¾ cup plain breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon + ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground pepper
Hot mustard to serve
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the lamb and beef with the parsley, breadcrumbs, red onion, cumin, salt, thyme, and pepper.
- Prepare 20 balls from the mixture and flatten them into patties using the palm of your hand.
- Grease the grill with some cooking spray and preheat the grill to medium-high.
- Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Serve with hot mustard.
