This is to let you know that I was chosen for the local Cold Case Consultant position with the Police Guild of Pastoria. Your recommendation letter was essential for me getting the role—so thank you, very much!
I’ll be responsible for looking into old cases all around the county, not just in Belville, so I’m not sure when I’ll next be around. That’s why I wanted to make sure to write. But when I’m in town, for now, I’m staying at the tavern. Lavender has been very kind. She says to make sure I take time off for Yule, to “really enjoy” a town celebration.
Getting a job like this has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I never really thought I could do it, until my first day training at the Guild. Maybe even my first day with Officer Thorn. Both she and you have been such good teachers. I’m so glad to have found Belville—and Jack. Like you said, sometimes the people you meet in cases, even cold cases, never leave you.
