Day 21

Someone living at the merely human level doesn’t accept the things of God’s spirit. They are foolishness to such people, you see, and they can’t understand them because they need to be discerned spiritually. But spiritual people discern everything, while nobody else can discern the truth about them! For “Who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of the Messiah.—1 Corinthians 2:14–16

Brainy Tip: We have the power to create realities using our minds. We can bring life into the world through our thoughts, feelings, and choices. We have the powerful mind of the Messiah.

When we choose to follow Jesus, who is love, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can start thinking in a different way—in a more loving way. We have “the mind of the Messiah”! We start to see the world from a different angle, we plant these thoughts deep into our nonconscious mind, and we choose to react differently. The more we act according to God’s wisdom, and not how the world says we should, the more we think and act like Jesus.

And, suddenly, what was foolish is not so foolish anymore. We begin to understand that we have the power to create realities of love through what we plant into our heads, which then determine what we say and do. The “way of the world” doesn’t seem to be so wise anymore—after thousands and thousands of years, we still have so much suffering, greed, and hatred. We understand that something has to change. We see that making the world a better place starts with our thinking, feeling, and choosing. We essentially learn how to be human again; we learn how to bring heaven, not hell, to earth.
