Just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is the Messiah.—1 Corinthians 12:12
Brainy Tip: We are made for community.
Relationships, of course, would not be relationships if we were all the same. Our differences shape and enhance our relationships. Although we could never understand the impact of our thoughts on everyone around us, since we cannot know everything, we can get a sense of our interconnectedness when a loved one is sad and our hearts ache, or if we watch the news and feel compassion for people going through incredibly difficult circumstances. We all collectively represent God’s magnificent creation. He is the whole system and we are the parts in him. No one is better than anyone else. Like cells in the human body, we originate from one source but have different functions depending on who and where we are within a larger community.
