What will happen, though, is that you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you. Then you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the very ends of the earth.—Acts 1:8
Brainy Tip: God has given us everything we need to choose well.
When we make a choice, our emotional perceptual library (the amygdala) does not always provide the accurate truth, because it works on perceptions we have built into our minds through our choices and reactions, and human perceptions are sometimes false. In fact, the emotions stored in this library can be quite dangerous if we allow them to control us.
So what should we do to choose well? We need to mindfully and intentionally remind ourselves that God has given us everything we need. He has given us a way to handle every situation, so we should not make choices without him. In superposition (the quantum term for the type of limbo state that exists before a decision is made), we need to consciously ask God for wisdom and focus on the fruits of the Spirit so we can truly be witnesses of his amazing love and power as we think, feel, and choose. We need to get in a rhythm with the Spirit!
