Day 278

Keep yourselves in the love of God, as you wait for our Lord Jesus the Messiah to show you the mercy which leads to the life of the age to come.—Judah 21

Brainy Tip: Operating in love means that your words, actions, and body language match what you think about—that is, your intentions.

We don’t just speak with our words. Our eyes, eyebrows, shoulders, back, arms, hands, legs, and feet can all talk. They can whisper and shout too. Half of all communication is nonverbal. That means how we say what we say is as important as what we actually say—maybe even more so.

Like the careless words we can speak if we fail to consider their impact, our nonverbal communication will tell the truth of what we believe deep down in our subconscious. That’s why it’s so important to get congruency between what we are thinking and what we are saying, because in the long run the truth will come out. It is so important to love authentically and unconditionally. No matter how sneaky you think you are, you can’t hide your attitudes. No thought is harmless. Even when we’re able to disguise what we really mean with our words, our eye-talk, body language, and gestures will tell the truth.
