Day 302

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar, and his word is not in us.—1 John 1:9–10

Brainy Tip: We cannot change until we admit that we need to change.

We can change nothing until we fully comprehend what needs to be changed—where we have missed the mark and lost our way. Just as every action first begins with a thought, we, as the children of the Creator of this beautiful universe, have to renew our own minds before we can restore and renew the world for God’s kingdom.

We have to admit that there are problems we have to face before we can beat them, quit the broken system, and change our world for the better. Pretending we do not have problems, or trying to sweep issues under the carpet, will not help anyone, especially ourselves. Change starts when we take a good look in the mirror.
